Streszczenie: 

I will show that the description of neutron stars by the Tolman­-Oppenheimer-­Volkoff equations with a matter given by a fix equation of state is not a valid approximation. I will introduce a model of the nuclear matter which I couple to gravity. I will solve the resulting Einstein equations (with the back reaction of the gravity on the matter field fully taken into account) and find neutron stars with maximal masses and radii in a perfect agreement with the experimental data. The resulting EoS, computed form the solutions (not assumed), does depend on the total mass of a neutron star. This shows that there is no unique EoS of nuclear matter in neutron stars, although there is an underlying action from which all solutions (neutron stars) emerge. I will show that this result is in fact model independent.
