We are convinced that the close cooperation with financial insitutions is esencial for the quality, and finally, for the success of econophysics studies.
Therefore the initiative of the local, leading Bank - ING Bank Śląski and the University of Silesia to establish, in the ING-Bank Śląski building in Katowice, the Center of Implementation of Electronic Banking was beneficial for us. The partnership agreement between University of Silesia and ING-Bank Śląski offers the following opportunities for students of econophysics :

  the use of the computer laboratory at the ING Bank Śląski.
   apprenticeship at ING Bank Śląski branches or departments. In summer 2003, almost 40          econphysics students (after the 2nd year of studies) had 1 month training in ING          Bank Śląski.

Some classes are held in this laboratory, and the software installed there gives students the possibility to become familiar with bank "products" for customers.
In summer 2003, about 40 econophysics students, after their 2-nd year of studies, attended a one month professional training in ING-Bank Śląski.
